Agenda: Warm-up: Read back through the body of writing you've created thus far. Try to think about the people involved, and what they said. Jot down as many of the words that were verbalized as possible. If you can't remember what was said, what do you imagine was said? What is the effect of dialogue in a narrative? Why might you want to use dialogue in your memoir? Work through the dialogue practice in the blue packet. This packet will also function as your example/notes when it comes time to implement your own dialogue into your memoir. Give you partner one piece of praise (what is interesting/memorable/vivid/attention grabbing?) and one word to polish. What is one more broad word your partner could change to be more specific and vivid? View scenes in film HW Reminders: Critique paragraph revision due today.
